The South Carolina American Revolution Sestercentennial Commission (SC 250) is searching for a methodical and strategic site development project manager to work with our organization in enhancing visitor experiences centered around the mission and vision of the SC 250. The skills and expertise in successful construction management will aid The SC 250 Commission in serving the State of South Carolina by enhancing education, economic development and heritage tourism centered on the Revolutionary Era in South Carolina through effective site development and superior construction methods producing meaningful projects for use and enjoyment by all for years to come.
Duties for the site development project manager will include participation in planning and development of sites, work on building and construction sites to ensure a project completes safely, on time, and within budget. They will monitor and direct contractor activities from start to finish and direct and oversee various contractors and subcontractors from site preparation and foundation laying to the final touches. Managing overall construction through site visits, review of plans, engagement with construction team and project lead, documenting payments and expenditure, preparing progress reports for the ED and Commission Chair and Executive Committee, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. The candidate will also perform duties as directed by the Executive Director or Commission as needed to fulfill the mission and goals of the organization.
The ideal candidate for this role should have superior organizational skills, great leadership qualities, and exceptional budgeting and monitoring skills while ensuring the projects operate efficiently and keep the mission and vision of the SC 250 alive for years to come.
